Dave's Retaining Wall

The Wall Project was completed to re-claim Dave's front yard after having a large tree removed just about a year ago.  The tree was too large for the small property and was in danger of damaging the house.  I think you will agree that it looks much better now.

Here is the front yard before the tree was cut down, it was very close to the house

Here is a view of the yard from the driveway after the tree was cut and the stump ground, what a mess

The wall contains approximately 204 blocks, each weighing 24 pounds, it was a lot of lifting for sure

The wall also contains just about 3 tons of crushed stone for drainage purposes

From when the dump truck dropped off the stone to when we were sitting in the house with the icy hot on our arms was just about 1 day, not too bad!
