Halloween Fog Chiller

I have a fog machine that we use at the Halloween parties.  Traditional fog machines create hot fog that rises up to the ceiling pretty quickly.  This chiller is a way to get that fog to stay down near the floor much like dry ice fog would.  The fog pouring out of the backlit jack-o-lantern is much cooler looking than it just coming out of a pipe!

Here it is in action, notice how the fog lays on the floor, without the chiller it would rise to the ceiling too fast to photograph

It actually looks scary in the dark, thanks to Kim for the cool pictures

We found the best jack-o-lantern at Target, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use it for the chiller

The fog is pushed through the cold cooler and then into the back of the pumpkin

There is about 4" of space between the fogger nozzle and the elbow, this allows the fluid to fully vaporize into fog before it gets chilled

The first layer of ice will be packed up to the bottom of the inlet and outlet

The second layer will be packed on top of the removeable shelf, this creates a cold chamber for the fog

I added this bracket so the fogger could be attached to the chiller and not have to be proped up beside it
