March 22, 2010:  Hey again everyone, as always sorry for the delay but things have gotten even more crazy around these parts since we spoke last, hence the lack of updates.  I'd try to do more but there just isn't enough hours in the day so you'll have to settle on once a month for a while, maybe someday we'll get back to doing a couple a week but I wouldn't hold your breath.  It's been a while so I'll try to hit the highlights of what we're up to.  The weather has been better so we've both been trying to get out on our bikes more often, it's tough with the dogs but we can at least take Stella with us on mountain bike rides, which she absolutely loves.  Mabel is growing faster than you can imagine and already weighs 31 pounds as of Saturday afternoon!  Stella has been kicking butt at the lure coursing trials we've been able to make it to and there are a few more planned for this Spring, hopefully she can get her Field Champion title by the end of the summer coursing season, that would be an awesome accomplishment for a beginner like she is.  I took part in a road bike ride around Bainbridge island called the Chilly Hilly both for the weather at this time of year and for the 2600 vertical feet of climbing on the route.  We start in Seattle at the ferry terminal, take the boat out, ride the 35 mile loop and then take the boat back.  This year they had a record breaking 6028 people on the ride, it was actually quite insane, a bit too crowded for me but glad I did it once.  We have a couple more similar adventures coming up in the next few months, the first one will be the 2010 Pole Pedal Paddle relay race in Bend, OR and the weekend after that will be the ADA Tour de cure.  I did the PPP a few years ago and it was a blast, it looks like we may even have enough people to enter two seperate teams this year, if the weather is as good as it's been lately it will be a great time.  The Tour de Cure is a diabetes ride that some friends of ours work on all year, this year Lisa is going to do the 45 mile route and I will attempt the 70 mile, we'll see if it works out.  Lisa did the 45 mile last year with no problems so what's another 25 miles right?  Spring showed up a few weeks early this year so everything outside is green and blooming, one of these upcoming weekends I'll have to dedicate some time to getting the front yard cleaned up and ready to be presentable for the summer, gotta keep up with the neighbors your know.  My work has been keeping me as busy as ever, we went through a bunch of organizational changes that were supposed to solve all the problems we had but nothing is any different now, we're still all putting way too much effort, well most of us anyway.  Lisa took a part time job at a different pharmacy and dropped down to part time hours at her's so now she has a bit of a change in scenery every few days, we'll see where it leads in a few months.  I think that about covers it, not much else to report for now, though I probably missed a bunch of boring day to day stuff that you could care less to hear about.  I'll try to keep this more recent but can't promise much.  Check out the most recent puppy pictures and have a great week.
