State of Grace 2006
Jet was attending the show in San Jose, CA this year so we made plans to meet him there, check out some amazing artists and get a little more ink in the process. Lisa wasn't able to make it due to work but Kim wanted to go so she could meet Luca there and have the tattoo he did for her in London earlier this year replicated on her other foot. We made it a quick trip, down Saturday morning and back Sunday evening. The show was AMAZING, like nothing I've ever seen. Jet tattood me for most of the day Saturday and Luca did Kim's foot right after we got there. We finished the head of the dragon in the early evening, I took a nap, and then came back to enter it in the "Tattoo of the Day" contest at 10 o'clock. The competition was rough but Jet's vision of an eastern influenced dragon that is now on my leg took First Place! A Japanese magazine called Tattoo Burst was there taking pictures of the contest winners and Jet even convinced me to strip down so they could take some shots of the entire piece. The editor said it should be printed in the January issue, I'll have to order one from the website because it isn't circulated here in the states. We were both getting tattooed most of the time so we didn't really get many pictures of the rest of the show, enjoy the pictures!

Getting ready to start

Luca was lining up the second stencil so it would be perfect

Doing the outline usually takes a while and always hurts

Behind the knee was one of the worst places for sure

Would you let this face tattoo you???

A little more than 5 hours, it even won the "Best of Day" award!

Kat Von D from Miami Ink was there tattooing, I had to get a quick picture with her

We're back at it again Sunday morning

It only hurt bad when he touched the fresh areas

A couple more hours and we were done!

Luca added some more to Kim's feet in the afternoon on Sunday
