The 4th of July 2004
We were lucky enough to be able to get up to the mountains in NH this year for the holiday weekend. We had awesome weather, were able to catch up with a bunch of old friends, get some exercise, and had a very relaxing weekend. The best part is that we were able to bring Isis everywhere we went, she had a lot of fun too, so much that she could barely get back to the truck one afternoon. We have been home for about 8 hours today and she hasn't left her bed yet, it will take her a few days to recover from this trip!

My parents were taking the camper to Maine for the weekend but we got in early enough to catch them before they left

We took a hike to this brook we used to play at when we were kids
Isis loves to bite the breaking water, she ends up drinking about 10 gallons of it too, click for the video

She wanted to keep playing but the bugs were pretty bad and the water was really cold

We rode on a old rail bed, someone torched this bridge early this year, still passable but kind of scary

This water is diverted from the river to run through the hydro station in the distance not a bad view, we were standing on another old railroad bridge

Another old bridge, this one is about 100 feet over the river and highway and was converted for snow mobile and bike use

I thought we were going to have to carry her back to the truck, she barely made it on her own power

Getting ready to go home after an 8 mile ride in 85 degree weather, we're sure she is thinking about her nice soft bed at the house

This is Garnet Pool, a popular swimming hole near Mt. Washington, it's about 12' deep and the water is about 45 degrees in July, it comes right off of the mountain

Again with the water, I think she could see her shadow

This guy was hanging out just off the side of the road on our way up to Gregg's folks house

Matthew and Isis have the same taste in toys, he really likes her favorite toy, a plain old tennis ball
