Georgia Aquarium

I was lucky enough to get sent to Atlanta, GA for training a couple weeks after the new Georgia Aquarium opened.  Dave and Jeanie were up for checking it out and I got out of class early my last day there.  We only had to wait in line for about 45 minutes but spent at least 3 hours checking out all the exhibits.  If you are ever in the Atlanta area I definetely recommend checking it out.

The main tank has an enormous school of these yellow fish, there are at least 20,000 of them that all swim together

This grouper is at least 4 feet long, the little yellow fish are his posse, they follow him everywhere

A queen angle fish from one of the reef tanks, the picture almost looks fake

The jellyfish tank was really thin so you could get great pictures, they were very close to the glass

There is a viewing tunnel through the main tank, under the 6,200,000 gallons of water

One of the two whale sharks in the main tank, currently 17' long, will grow to 30' in captivity, click the picture for a video

The best picture I could get of the viewing window in the main tank, it's 23 ft. tall 61 ft. wide and 2 ft. thick
