Trips and Summer time fun

The summer is our favorite time of year to enjoy the outdoors.  Now that we live closer to more places to enjoy it, we are looking forward to taking advantage of that in the upcoming summer.  Here are some pictures of us enjoying the summers past.

This photo was take by me while paddling my kayak on Brandreth Lake in the Adirondacks, NY.  The lake was amazing, the black flies were unbearable.

Lisa in her kayak on Jericho Lake in northern NH, it's a small lake but it has lots of wildlife, we saw a pair of loons and a bunch of turtles

This turtle was just relaxing in the sun until we came along, he dropped back in the water just after I paddled by

A view down from the Cannon Mountain Arial Tramway in Franconia Notch, NH

Isis doesn't get to experience all these new smells often, it was tough to get her to sit still long enough to get this picture, that is Gorham, NH in the background, my home town

It wasn't hard to get her to stop for water though, it was a hot day and she ran about 8 miles

Jay at The Basin in Franconia Notch, NH

Lisa at the Basin, further down the river the rocks make the water look like a hot tub, even though the water was 45 degrees

This is the actual Basin, too bad there is no swimming allowed

Entering Franconia Notch, NH, this is where the "Old Man of the Mountain" was until it fell in 2003, you have probably seen it on the NH state quarter

Isis can amuse herself with almost anything, especially if water is involved, her pool is one of her favorite parts of summer

This was us and the gang in Old Orchard Beach, ME. The campground was packed but we had friends in high places that hooked us up with this spot

Taken near lake Umbagog in very northern NH, this moose is just having a snack, minding his own business

This sums up that weekend

Loaded up to go home after a day of playing on Kayuka Lake in Penn Yan, NY

Like I said, as long as water is involved Isis loves it, just in case though she has her own life jacket, she misses the jet ski too

Chris and I after a day of sailing their new boat on Seneca lake in NY
